Compound Bow
The Compound bow is easier to shoot accurately but the real accuracy belongs to the archer. For the same poundage bow, a compound will carry a lot more arrow speed, and energy. As compound bows are easier to learn with and use, they are preferred for hunting.

A compound bow is a modern bow using a levering system, usually of cables and pulleys, to bend the limbs. The limbs are much stiffer than those of a recurve bow or longbow. This makes the bow more energy efficient.
This type of bow is not greatly affected by changes of temperature and humidity, giving greater accuracy, velocity, and distance in comparison to other bows. The compound bow was first developed and patented by Holless Wilbur Allen in Missouri in 1969.
